Matthew Skifstad: Lead Pastor
Pastor Matt has served at Victory Life since 2006. In his role as Senior Pastor he is tasked with Preaching and Teaching, Pastoral Care, Staff Administration and serves as both an Elder and Trustee. He is a graduate in Bible and Theology from Lee University and holds a Masters Degree from Ashland Seminary. He is husband to Gina and father to Sienna, Natalie, Cameron, Landon and Nathan. When he’s not pastoring, he enjoys the Browns, Guardians and Cavaliers, hiking at the Metroparks and sneaking in some video game time.
Ray Byrne: Executive Pastor
Pastor Ray leads the volunteer ministries and discipleship as well as providing staff oversight to any areas of church operations. He has been pastoring since 2007 and has served in various pastoral roles including youth ministry and church planting. He and his wife Nicole have been married more than twenty years and together have five children.
Andrew Skifstad: Worship Director
AJ’s strongest passion that all who come to worship may enter the Lord’s throne room and be exposed to his Glory and Majesty. Aside from ministering at Victory Life, AJ also is a music teacher in Copley-Fairlawn OH. He enjoys hanging out with his wife, Rachel, and their four kids. His favorite past times include: reading, biking, bonfires, board games, and playing piano.
Rachelle Hodge: Church Admin
Rachelle serves as our Church Administrator and joined the VLC staff in 2024. She holds a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Grace Theological Seminary. A lifelong member of this church, Rachelle is now raising her two daughters here alongside her husband, Will.
Kim Malin: Children's Program Specialist
Kim is a devoted wife, mom and grandma who is blessed with 8 grandkids. Kim, much to her husband's chagrin, loves rescuing animals. She also enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She has a servant’s heart and a passion for helping the children of VLC know, love, and walk with Christ. As the Children’s Program Specialist, Kim brings enthusiasm, creativity, and strong event-planning skills to VLC, ensuring kids have fun while learning, building friendships, and growing in their relationship with God.
Audra Gillig: Finance Director
Audra graduated from The University of Akron with a BA in Psychology, along with minors in Child Development and Family Development and a certificate in Parent Education. Audra has been actively involved at Victory Life Church over the years, including in Children’s, Youth, and Worship Ministries, as well as serving on the trustee board and other committees. Audra is married to her high school sweetheart and is the proud mother of two. Her heart is to continually seek, know, and share Jesus, and to encourage others to do the same.
Christina Kuehn: Children's Admin
Christina holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from SUNY Fredonia and relocated from upstate New York to Ohio in late 2021 with her husband, Jacob, and their four sons. With a background in the arts and a passion for creativity, Christina uses her skills in drawing and painting to enhance the visual experience of the children’s ministry.
Carly Fullerton: Media Tech
Carly Fullerton, a Kent State graduate with a Master of Architecture degree, serves as Technical Director, using creativity and thoughtful detail to help shape environments where people can experience God. She shares life with her husband, Andrew, and their son, and enjoys spending time outdoors at the zoo, parks, and Metroparks whenever the Ohio weather allows. A natural maker at heart, Carly has explored just about every craft you can imagine and is always looking for new creative projects.
